Sparrow Hawk Village was established in 1981 by Rev. Carol E. Parrish-Harra, her husband Charles, and several students and colleagues, as an interfaith spiritual community and home to Sancta Sophia Seminary and Light of Christ Community Church.
This is a place of spiritual growth. There could be no more fitting place for an esoteric school—here in the Ozark Mountains where energy vortices accelerate personal and interpersonal evolution.

Meals: Lunches are furnished during class weeks. Some evening meals are available for a nominal cost; meals are semi-vegetarian. When the kitchen is closed, light meal preparation is permitted in some host homes, but not all.
Housing: Due to the recent completion of a new dormitory, the Seminary has a limited supply of housing to offer students at reasonable rates. In addition, many homeowners in the interfaith spiritual community of Sparrow Hawk Village offer students accommodations in exchange for reimbursement of their costs (usually between $20 and $35 a night). Non-students are welcome when space is available.
During the summer the Village RV Park on the Illinois River, approximately one mile from campus, provides hookups, cabanas, and tent sites. Costs vary but are quite reasonable. There are also several motels in the area with reasonable rates.
Transportation: Sancta Sophia is a 75-minute drive from Tulsa International Airport to the west, as well as from Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport to the east. Villagers provide ground transportation to and from the airports and bus terminals for $60 each way. Rental cars are also available.
