Christianity is Related to the Solar Cycle—Journey from EpiphanyBy Carol E. Parrish, Ph.D. In Esoteric Christianity we are reminded that as we emerge from Epiphany we begin an annual journey of new growth; from birth of the self we move toward maturity, accomplishing all we can in one cycle. From the world of physical science, we learn we travel annually around the sun. From spiritual science we know we are on an annual journey to raise our vibration/ consciousness to a new level. So just as annually the Lord Christ comes to the throne within the heart of the planet for an intensification of the Earth’s vibration. The self within us takes its place and illumines us during this holy time. When it is said in this way, it means the physical Earth, but also, all that is upon the Earth, even within the aura of the planet, is affected, including the etheric body, the astral, the mental, and frequencies of the planet, as well as the spiritual consciousness of humanity. Thus, you and I are affecting the goal of every probationer, even more so if we open our heart to the Christ presence and receive the first initiation. So from the Winter Solstice until Epiphany, you and I are blessed by the coming of the King to his kingdom and revving us up for another cycle. While this is the core of numerology and the science of vibration, it is also the basis of understanding the work of the year ahead. Think about what cycle you are in personally, but also the Earth’s cycle, and in what manner we may create the appropriate response asked of us by the challenge we face. Spiritually we are repeatedly asked to see ourselves personally; our challenges, and our resources, then to step to a higher level and see impersonally what our challenge is and how we can better express on that less personal level. What is so important at one level most often can be seen more wisely from the other. When our personality surrenders its hold, the eye of the soul can get a slant on what life is about or why certain periods are as they are. As we prepare for our journey around the sun, perhaps we need to remember we are attempting to lighten our load, see a larger picture, have peak experiences, and to share more generously. These actions are done by the Christ, shedding light on humanity, giving us a greater goal than just personal, provides holy moments for our meditation and prayer life and asks us, even commands us, to love one another, and serve one another. Think for a moment, what if the Great Lord called on you personally, spent time in your home, encouraged your heart and mind, and then had to continue on a journey. Would you remember he had come? Would you be encouraged to recall the thoughts you had shared and even live more proudly and more aware of your relationship to him afterwards? Certainly, you would remember he had shared with you that, in due time, he would come again. Our perception of how the Christ is to return differs a great deal in Christianity according to different denominational stances, but it is important that we find a way to understand this statement. If the Lord Christ is ever present, Lo, I am with you always, it doesn't mean he has gone away, but that, ever present, he will return to our awareness. I think we are limited in our grasp of his presence, and that as we mature, we can come more easily to the realization that he is ever present, as we build the receiver set in our higher consciousness, we become better attuned to the Christ frequency. As we more clearly hear and comprehend the message, we bring the Christ-Within into an enriched position of power and expression. Nurtured by the Holy Spirit, Sophia, we grow into being the ones who can perceive the presence of the Christ. Thus the Christian message is the ongoing message that God, the Father-Mother, loves us and wants us to return that love. The message of Master Jesus is to assist each of us in anchoring the Christ Consciousness within the life of humanity, that we might do as the Master said to each of us, You too can do these things. Each of us can share in the wondrous work of the Christ. We are invited to become enlightened beings and to live with this radiant awareness. Certainly we pay a price; mostly we deal with the struggle from within and how to transform our nature so the human and divine can both be honored. Only then can we reach the goal: to be fully human and fully divine. Why? How? The answers are called the mysteries, and as the new cycle of the Christ now unfolds, so too can our own understanding, and step by step, we can be made whole and holy. With Saturn progressed into Pisces, we experienced the ringing of a cosmic alarm clock. It is our notification that it is time to search for the spiritual nature of humanity. We must become aware of our spiritual needs and allow a new level of humanity’s essential nature to emerge. This is the goal held before us by the Old and New Testaments, Remember ye are gods. The search for the sacred is one of the basic drives of the human nature as it becomes more and more refined; otherwise, life becomes degraded. Saturn in Pisces helps us heal our suffering society. Over the nest two to three years, we will see our society begin its return toward higher consciousness. We must remind ourselves that the sacred cannot be found by picking things apart. Myth preserves truths because it can be adapted to current need and yet flex to basic truth as times change. From this anger point (the second of five Mayan cycles: 1992-97 of the Campaign for the Earth) until its near-completion (1997), we shall be discovering our illusionary reasons for what we value and why. We will refocus our attention and intentions on order to develop mindfulness so we can begin to bargain our way out of the current hysteria of violence. As we develop mindfulness (intent and motivation), we may discover what we want and how we can create it. “Small and personal” will be restored to rightful place of value. Cultivating quality moments, genuine friendships, small gardens, and little shops are signs of refined people rather than materialism running amuck. Tender moments with transformative values are more often found in simple pleasures: walking the beach, watching the star, saying goodnight, and making a gift for another. The inner spirit searches for private places where it can reveal itself; unhurried, quiet, respectful pauses reveal our spirit. The belief that our life has purpose compels us to become quiet and listen to the wee small voice within that refuses to shout over the din of the rush. We learn to keep our own counsel or reveal our inner nature only in places of respect. For our lives to hold more of the sacred or any other value, we must drain whatever it is currently filled with and begin anew. This empty place has great value—a unique discovery for many as they begin to quest. By inviting the sacred into our lives, the old that doesn’t satisfy us can be released. By cleansing ourselves, we create the openness needed in order to be filled anew. This is the process so often spoken of as surrendering. Is a shift of awareness and of value from the lesser to the greater. Envisioning the futureEach and every one who discovers the new worldview and anchors it in his/her own life is a joy to the higher workers. We are anchoring the efforts of the hierarchy through our own sweat, blood, and tears as we labor in the vineyard of the Lord, a said so long ago. I would call your attention to the envisioning plan we are using to make things happen. The concept of giving your first hour every week to the work of the hierarchy is really a holy effort and ignites the higher nature to be a pert of all you do. May this be a holy year for each of you. Mostly I pray that humanity will get it together collectively. We are truly one soul, so there is no division at that level. Until we do, it is as if the stomach of a body refuses to work wit the heart, or the lungs with the vascular system. There will be no well-being for humanity until the Oneness is realized. The personality resists because it hates to surrender to divine formation. Each of us discovers the crack in the armor of personality that we may peek into light and see our reason for incarnation. The reasons do not need to be profound; the simple service of loving one another is a good reason for being here, for the need for love is so great. I close by saying, “I love you,” to all of you, especially to those who forget hard daily service is what disciples do mostly. Only a few get to stand in the spotlight at a time, and when one does, that individual very much needs the love and support of many to help bear the consequences. We need to celebrate our opportunities and love each other as together we carry the consciousness of humanity to new heights. |
