Riding the Waves into the FutureThe Aquarian age spells death to the *Piscean age *consciousness that emphasized suffering and separation. Today energies bombarding the planet demand that we forge a spirit of cooperation. At a past critical point of *evolution, humanity had to forsake a lower, instinctual group consciousness to move toward an individuated self-consciousness. Now humanity must relinquish its emphasis on self-superiority and move again to a group consciousness, yet maintain individuality and integrity. This time we shift toward an awareness of harmony inherent in the opportunity for co-working, co-creating, and right-relationship. Much of the mission of walk-ins and messages from spirit and angelic beings is to hasten group development. Predictions are but windows through which we glimpse access to a particular future. Each human will vote; the work becomes awakening and staying awake to opportunities for growth. Indigenous peoples of many heritages have much to share as we enter this time of reawakening to hidden mysteries. My interest is the Mayan tradition, particularly their prophecies regarding the 25-year transitional period in which we now find ourselves. The Maya believed humanity entered a critical period at Harmonic Convergence (August l6-l7, l987) in which it 2 of 9 must balance its karma and pass through stages of change (often labeled “tribulation”) into the Age of Flowers, the name given by the Maya. This term originates from the concept of flowers (the chakras); the blossoms open as humanity matures and evolves to full bloom. Five stages divided into five-year periods have interesting Mayan designations (as interpreted by Jose Arguelles) that correspond, as I see it, to the major steps we all experience when one cycle of life ends and a new cycle follows. Each stage has a name, a time, a purpose, a kind of understanding to be achieved. They correspond with my understanding of what humanity is to undergo and with the familiar five steps of the accepted process of death and dying. Let us consider them from this overview.
Post Harmonic Convergence. Humanity is at the edge of breakthrough. The second five years, labeled in the Mayan mysteries as the Era of Regeneration, we call anger. Regeneration means “new love,” even if distorted and confused. If we do not care, we do not feel anger. In the years l992 to l997, wild passions stir, violence explodes, anger abounds. During the Era of Reseeding, the next five years, we will try first one creative response, then another. We think of this as bargaining. I would call the Era of Crystallization “preparatory depression.” The emphasis is on everyone to leave old forms behind so new forms can emerge. Even as the outer looks worse, the inner is expanding and improving. The Era of New Harmony, or acceptance, brings us to the year 2012. At the mid-point, bargaining, we will be shifting either toward survival or not, and we dare not wait to see how others will respond. Some may be mired in denial and stay there, in the anger cycle, or any other. Some attune to the past, others to the future. A large block of society seems to sense something is awry but has yet to realize they can participate in something constructive and new. Two points seem necessary to close these thoughts. First, wonderful things are happening. It is amazing how far we have come since August l987. Flowers bloom everywhere. Second, it only takes a small shift to “unstuck” things—perhaps just a change of mind or of heart. Humanity is at the edge of breakthrough. Many projects already positioned will support changes humanity needs. As they are activated, many breakthrough ideas are being introduced through contacts with spirit, walk-ins, inspirations, and experiences of the Light. These innovations are small now because few use their potential. Many of those involved are only now realizing how to share newly discovered inner wisdom. At Sparrow Hawk Village, we seriously commit ourselves. We probably thought we knew more than we actually did when we arrived here in l98l. Through the years, we have had to take half steps and learn through trial and error. Certainly, we have expanded our goodness and our wisdom. Having discovered how to work together innovatively, we are better prepared for the Great Work. This is necessary for every new approach, every meditation group, each healing technique, and certainly for an light workers. This work moves us toward our potential; as more awaken, we all function better. Whether we are experienced or novices, it is prudent to recognize we can serve. With a caring heart and by overcoming fear, negativity, and materialism, we learn through every experience, inevitably assisting the whole. God's greatest teaching technique is the “sink or swim” method. Look how wonderfully well we do when we simply jump in and paddle away. Think now: What part do you play in creating the Era of Flowers for your city, profession, or youth? Where are your seeds of joy, goodness, and service flourishing? Of what bouquet are you a part, in spite of weeds, that will beautify and benefit the life of the planet? We are to become the wise stewards of planetary life, using well the resources and opportunities for the renewing of the Garden of Eden. |
